Parent University: Cyberbullying (3/11)
Link to the session here
The City School District of Albany will hold two interactive virtual Parent University sessions in March to help students and families recognize and deal with cyberbullying.
Cyberbullying is the use of technology to harass, threaten, embarrass or target another person. It includes online threats as well as mean, aggressive or rude texts, tweets, posts, pictures, messages or videos.
Students and families will hear from School Resource Office Nicole Reddix, School Social Worker Ava Holt of William S. Hackett Middle School and Behavior Specialist Deb Walton of Northern Rivers Family Services. These experts will provide an overview of cyberbullying, including warning signs and ways to cope with it.
Each session will include an opportunity for students and families to ask questions.
Recordings of both presentations will be available.
